Calculate

Once you know it is, you will have an initial conversation to work out a guesstimate on the amount of time we will need to cater for you and your party on the actual day. This can be done over the telephone or during a free 15minute insalon consultation.

Deposit

When this is calculated, it is essential that you pay £150 deposit towards the wedding day fee to guarantee this day for you. If the amount is more than the total fee for the day, your stylist will give a guesstimate to your final bill and take 50% on account as your deposit.

Trial

This is a must! It’s a time for us to learn together about your ideas and thoughts regarding your desired look. Using images of previous brides and examples of bridal work from the leaders in the industry it’s a time for consultation and creativity

During the trial we will realise any time constraints to fit within your schedule. We will complete individual hair and make-up plans, which can include digital pictures and organise any preparation or purchases required for the big day. We can also plan any skin care, hair cutting or colouring needs so that you are in tip-top condition. The full process usually takes 2 to 3 hours. Please arrive with very little or no mascara on as this will save wasting time during your trial.

Don’t be down hearted if your hair lacks length and thickness do bear in mind that we are able to add thickness, length and colour to any style with the use of natural hairpieces, which can be colour matched to each individual hair and type.

Remember the trial may not give you the final impression, but will be critical in targeting the perfect look. At The Purcell Rooms we prefer to surpass your expectations on the day.

Once you have decided on your trial date and are ready to book, you will need to pay a deposit of 50% of the appointment made in advance. This deposit will be deducted from your trial bill.

If you are happy with your trial we would ask you to pay the full wedding day balance. On the rare occasion we are unable to create the hair and make up design for you at your trial and you would prefer not to proceed, we will be very happy to refund the wedding day deposit only.

What skin care products do you use?
Aveda skin care.

I feel pale should I use fake tan or sun beds?
We take the view that as long as you do not exceed the recommended 20 sessions per year using a tanning bed/cab is not a problem.
Fake tans have advanced greatly but always have a trial, why not try our St tropez natural tanning system, half and full body available.

When is the best time to arrange my hair and make-up trial?
As soon as you are ready but probably not more than six months before.

When should I have beauty treatments like waxing or facials?
You know your own skin, when unsure take time well before the wedding to test these services out and be sure you are not prone to any kind of reactions or hypersensitivity.

Should I wash my hair on the day?
This will be covered in your plan once we have noted your specific hair type and the desired style, but generally hair should be washed and left product free and not ceramically straightened.
