Congratulations Michael !( MASTER COLOUR EXPERT)

Finally after two years of continued learning, three courses, practical study, a huge project report and Four exams Michael has achieved his Master colour expert award at London World Wella studios. The final practical exams took place at the begginning of July and although it was hard work and very stressful at times  Michael was sucessful and will now be among the elite colourists who hold this high accolade at the top of the hairdressing industry.

Michael would like to thank  Jo and Pauline from Wella world studios who together made the learning process easier and completely understandable at every point and huge thanks to Maria who taught with a touch of fun and helped everyone, especially me relax at anxious times and it just wouldn’t of been the same without her. Cheers Maria, here’s to excellent colouring and continued learning! Your a star!

We are proud to announce that we have found a Senior Stylist. Her name is Maria and she brings to the salon the most experience any female member of staff ever has in our history!!  Working in the industry for over 25 years, mainly in the west end, Maria has developed expert cutting techniques and the ability to listen and care about her clients needs. She has started at the salon working Thursday and Saturday and will become full time as the year goes on. Please mention you have visited the website to gain a 10% concession on your first visit with Maria.

Abi  our stylist seems to go from strength to strength, settling in to build a loyal and happy clientele. A total perfectionist who is keen to go that extra mile to make sure her clientele are achieving their desired effects. That their colours have condition and longevity and more importantly that her client’s can manage and style their hair and make it look as good as we do!

Our lovely Louise, Academy Stylist is currently doing intense training in men’s hairdressing and would like male models available for haircuts Tuesday evenings at 5 and 6 pm. If you are free and have the time please call for an appointment. There is no charge for this service. She has developed a loyal female client following and her techniques and qualities in hairdressing improve weekly.

Charlotte  our trainee hairdresser would like models for blow-drying, short , long , thick or fine, Charlotte just needs your time and patience so please give us a call if you can come in Tuesday at 5pm. Huge congratulations go to Charlotte as she has won the award for best apprentice at the basingstoke college of technology. we are all looking forward to seeing her recieve her award on the 28th June.

Sheena our senior beautician latest project is further development of the New I>D make-up system which we have at the salon. Why not pop down for a free 30 minute make over where Sheena can create and design an individual make-up  and see which products will be best for you! After bringing gel nails into the salon late last year, Sheena has developed a loyal clientele and currently is offering 10 % off for all new clients . Sheena recently returned from studying for a whole week at the Aveda institute in london , during which she will learn new specialised techniques for all the Aveda facials, to celebrate this we have a fantastic promotional offer, please see the beauty room.

We now offer two types of house pedicure.

2.Removal of old nail varnish on nail and in cutcle area, shape & polish £20

We would like to mention Clare our part time assistant hairdresser soon to qualify at the Basingstoke College of Technology in advanced hairdressing for coming second in her total look competition. Congratulations Clare ! You did well!

We are also inviting clients of the salon to get in touch if they are interested in blow-styling lessons or quick hair up ideas as we are thinking of having an evening session were clients and maybe a mate can come along and get tips , one to one with our stylists and we’ll chuck in a glass of wine and some nibbles for fun. The sessions will last roughly an hour and fifteen minutes and will cost £15.00 per person and run on a Tuesday evening. Once we have enough people on our lists a date will be organised.

This year I will carrying out hair-up courses for other hairdressers in the industry , if you are interested drop us a line. The course will run on Mondays and four dates are intended for this year so maybe get your name down early as there are only 8 places on each course. The Fee is currently £95.00.
